A friend of mine who went to the same teaching credential program as myself sent me an email:
"Hi Diana,
I have a friend that works at College Ready Middle Academy #5 in Lincoln Heights. He says there is a job opening next year for 7th/8th Social Science. He says the pay starts around 47-48k/year for a first year teacher. It is a low SES school and he says the job is high stress and there are a lot of challenges, but I know that these are the kind of kids you want to work with.
His name is W** B*** and his email is "W***** B***" <******@gmail.com>. He was in the credential program the year after us. He has a few other friends applying, but he says that if you can send him your resume/cv, he'll forward it to his principal."
After looking up information on the school, it seems like it definitely is a school I would love to teach at located in an area I would love to move to!

The school is composed of low socioeconomic status students who are also English language learners, on the free-reduced lunch, and are below proficient in their test scores.
I just sent W** B*** my cover letter and resume via email. Hopefully, he forwards it to his principal.
I hope to get at least a courtesy interview.
Will update on how this goes. WISH ME LUCK!
:)
